I uncovered my passion for music as a child when I would spend hours on end reading song lyrics. From albums to
fanzines, I was obsessed!
Growing up on old school country and pop music from the 70's & 80's greatly influenced my style. From Willie, Waylon and the Boys to Crystal Gayle from Crosby Stills Nash and Young to Sheryl Crow, there is a part of them in me.
I first performed as Mandy Smith Group a band with 3 part harmony; then Acoustic Duo Smith DeVille with Phil DeVille and now as Mandy Tague!
I write songs about the
push and pull of everyday life, the heartache and deep love we experience in relationships and everything in between.
It's my observations on the joy and pain I share so you know you're not alone and that someone's been through it too. I've made it to the other side and hope that through my music you know you
can make it too!
A rich life has heartache and hope. I consider myself blessed with a rich life and want to bring joy, love and understanding
wherever I go.
I am so proud to record my songs with Jacob Rodriguez at House of Sound Studio aka King Benny Productions.
Jacob is my musical friend and creative collaborator. He does the engineering, plays bass, drums, guitar and anything we decide.
"Rearranged" is my debut streaming release; I have recorded many albums over the years including: Mandy Smith Group, West Texas Sun, Comin Home, Texas Star, Texas Radio, Pop Americana and Rearranged.
Can't wait to share more songs...Stay Tuned!
